For the cost of one of these you can get a much more capable router (less of the high end wireless tech, and more underlying technologies supported like vpns/vlans etc) and at least 2 business class long range access points...or use your current router and drop in 3 APs, which will guaranteed saturate more area than this thing. Definitely seems like a more proper solution based on the authors description of the home. Not worth anywhere near the asking price when you can do much better for less...if you're buying one of these for the higher end features then MAYBE, but if you're purchasing just for signal strength then there are better ways to fix that imo.
