Skype Faces Trouble on both Desktop and iPhone

BGR: Skype is falling when smartphone usage is measured. The share of iPhone users actively engaging with the Skype app slid from 16.7% to 16.5% in five months. In contrast, the WhatsApp engagement moved up from 7.6% to 8.9% over the same time frame.

I think Viber with its new recent updated version has really hurt Skype in a big way.

skype isnt really relevant, its just there.

Microsoft is really messing up, they need to integrate skype better in every product they do. because facebook has its own skype
apple has its own version of skype
google as well
not to mention oovoo and all the rest of them.

Microsoft tried to integrate it with Windows Live Messenger, but I think they failed at that pretty much. They did force the integration, but a lot of people complain and have problems with missing contacts and what not, in the transition between the two.

That's just one example of how Microsoft can ruin things. There are plenty more.
