Maximum PC: Shopped at a Barnes & Noble brick-and-mortar store lately? If so, keep a close eye on your bank account. The book vendor issued a statement today warning that it's aware of tampering with PIN pad devices at 63 of its stores spanning from California to Rhode Island, and several states in between. B&N called it a "sophisticated criminal effort" in which a single PIN pad was compromised in each of the 63 locations.
Barnes & Noble will stop selling digital books for its Nook device on 15 March, the firm said on World Book Day.
TechPrezz: We had reported Barnes & Noble’s plan to launch a Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tablet a while ago. It had already announced the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook and promised to launch it in the early August. Though it took the company a bit longer than expected to finally launch the device, the company has finally launched the device at Samsung’s Nook tablet event and is available on sale starting today.
Maximum PC: "Talk of tablets rarely falls on the Nook, which fair or not has been largely overshadowed by competing slates. Looking to change that, Barnes and Noble has teamed up with Samsung to develop co-branded Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tablets featuring B&N's digital reading experience. The new device will mesh Samsung's Galaxy Tab 4 hardware with customized Nook software."
