whatswithjeff: "The popular Samsung Galaxy S4 is now available and people are very much excited to have one. As I read different reviews, check online community and Facebook pages, I noticed that there are people who do not know that there are actually four different versions of the Galaxy S4. Some knows that there is an Exynos 5 Octa Core version (no LTE) and an LTE version powered by a Quad Core Snapdragon 600 CPU chipset, but they don’t know which one to get. To help you with your dilemma on which Galaxy S4 version to get, below I’ll show you what are the difference between the two versions and which one is better for you. Please continue reading below."
The Samsung settlement is for just under $14 million dollars, but only $2.8 million is actually going to consumers.
The Galaxy S4, in its day, was a pretty capable smartphone. However, with its fourth birthday fast approaching, its update period has long since passed.
It was everything we ever wanted – a high-end smartphone from one of the world’s biggest Android OEMs, without the crapware known as the younger version of TouchWiz. At Google I/O in 2013, Google announced the first two models in the Google Play Edition lineup of devices, the Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play Edition.
I plan on buying one in the coming months (just waiting to see what iOS 7 has to offer) and I will definitely be going with the Exynos 5 Octa Core version. I am not a big user of mobile data and therefore 4G LTE is of no use to me.
I see, that's to bad. We have unlimited data plan here in our country. The best we could get around 3-4Mbps download speed (or 1MBps DL speed). So if ever need to download a large file like more than 1GB, I use my phone and tether the connection to my PC.
I think we also have unli data plan for LTE but LTE is just expensive right now.
shame I have no choice
but livin that lte life will make up for the missed bench mark scores.
tho "If you want to brag that you have an “eight-core” powered smartphone" is more up my alley. slapping people left and right yelling 8 cores bitches guess I have to wait a while for that.
octo version uses wolfson audio vs the snapdragron crap in the 600 one.
