China needs to stop the terrible treatment of workers and companies need to stop supporting it.

'Want' can make for plenty of successful stocks, actually. Facebook just doesn't make a lot of sense as a publicly traded company because there is only so much revenue sources of a social website. Unless they branch, they'll never be a successful corporation.

The IPO was INCREDIBLY overvalued. Even I could have told you that they would drop greatly in a few days.

Dirty ads using java and such have been a serious problem lately. There really needs to be more responsibility on ad distributors....I think some lawsuits are in order, really.

Ice Cream Salesman: "My first recipe was sooooo delicious, it killed a guy and he instantly floated to heaven. So I had to tone it down"

TV network executive: "Our commercial breaks are so short, you'll miss them if you blink"

Microsoft PR: "Windows 8 boots soooooo fast, that..."

They're just going to "simplify" 8 more than 7, by removing even more features.

Or maybe it has to do with most of those movies coming from the US. Thus those persons are more compelled by a story impacting their own country. Just a thought.

I, for one, welcome Big Brother's installment of Oceania.

(Fake stone smile)

Doesn't the UK have like a billion cameras set up everywhere anyway? Is INTERNET privacy really "the last straw" when you couldn't fart on the streets without being on camera?

People that purchase, distribute, etc child pornography are supporting child abusers and molesters.

I agree that we need to revamp the registry system, but I don't agree that owning a few pictures is anywhere in the ballpark of 'harmless' or being a 'minor' offense.

"The same thing can be said with mobile phones, but people still go with contracts"

Is that a joke? You have to pay for the service anyway, and the phones cost $600 and up if you buy them without a contract.

That's interesting, up until your home gets a virus.
hyuck, hyuck, hyuck.

Technology has too many issues and already encompasses too much of my life. Hooking up my entire house like that sounds like a terrible, annoying idea.

Obviously the child is actually being monitored and raised, unlike half of the kids using Facebook. Do you really think she's MORE likely to kill herself?

4397d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's fairly off topic. We're talking about Facebook being used as 'humiliating' punishment, not it's effect on childhood obesity.

Yeah, like people are going to be allowed to have the ability of xray radiation on their smartphones.

"The terahertz band has wavelengths that fall between microwaves used for mobile phone signals and infrared that is employed for night vision goggles"

Neither of which "see through" walls

What a load of crap.

Good. What a jerk. Six months for such destruction of privacy isn't enough, though.

Also, likely some more stupid non-issue video takedowns.

Hopefully this only affects the German version/access of the site.
