I'm not defending them, but is there a lot of dead time? I know they're watching over important equipment, but if there is a lot of time where nothing is happening, something should be done to address that. For mental health's sake.

You really seem to be under the belief that Apple did this FOR gaming.
It's a MacBook PRO. A lot of people are using it for professional/business reasons. A high resolution screen will be appreciated by many.

Since you can't uninstall IE, I always setup a BS proxy server just so IE can't do anything. Even with virus protection, I don't trust IE for the world.
