Following the exciting news that Windows will be free for everyone currently on Windows 7 or 8.1, providing they upgrade within the first year, users should also be aware of a few features that will no longer work with Windows 10 after that upgrade.
I dont use any of those things so its all good.
Really glad are not major feature removal
thats cool with me.
I will try window 10 once as it released.
Out with the Legacy software, in with the new!
I don't think I've ever used it myself but I'm shocked that DVD playback has been removed in it's entirety unless you install 3rd-party software. That's a ridiculous & selfish/greedy business move in my opinion. There's absolutely no need for it. The software is already there & it isn't like it needs constant work updating from time to time, it's about as basic a software requirement as possible.
while i do agree with you, there are superior third party software out there that is free. VLC for example. even with windows media player, VLC has always been my default regardless.
Same here, VLC has always had the codec support so you know you never have to worry about the files your playing. I think most people use it but as an OS you should at least have a built in DVD player. Just seems like a crazy idea to miss it out.
I myself will miss Windows Media Center :(
