Damn, beat me to it :(
I wonder how much he would have got on the darknet for the source code?
Lol really? I guess there will always be a special place in my heart for piracy (from my poor teenage years) but really with the rise of streaming services, I find piracy to be almost irrelevant nowadays.
If you're going to be that stupid (especially in wake of all the Snowden leak business) then you deserve to get caught. Why would you link an Apple email address to the same bitcoin account as the one you accept donations for running a questionably illegal website?
Every time they shut one down, a new one will pop up or someone else will take over. Mininova, TPB (briefly) and now this, ultimately it will barely make a dent in piracy and the feds will always be running around in circles going after them.
Saw the article title and knew it had to be from some extreme left PC tripe place and lo and behold, the BBC! I first saw something close to porn at age 9/10 when by accident I stumbled across Eurotrash (an "accident" that frequently occurred over the coming years) I had access to my first porno mag by 12 and by 14 had access whenever I wanted. I'd say I got desensitised by porn but porn is not much different from a movie, there is a world of difference between watching it and ...
I'd rather talk about Game of Thrones than subscribe to a ridiculously overpriced service. Anyhow, good luck singling people out for downloading, more hot air from our "awesome" government.
The antivirus was configured to scan for viruses every hour? Surely such a vital piece of equipment shouldn't even be hooked up to the net and be confined to the strictest security measures such as disabling USB ports etc?
Doesn't surprise me, was due a phone upgrade last year and was positive I was going to give HTC a try but when they basically revealed the exact same phone as the previous year, with a worse performing camera and a gold trim while Samsung were swinging for the fences with their S6 edge, it was a no brainer.
Sounds great for the big M, one step closer to literally being able to take over the world.
Jokes aside though, I don't know how all their tracking is considered legal, it really shows just how much pull a big corporation has.
The problem created by camera phones, people are too busy trying to capture the moment that they forget to live in it and fully appreciate it.
I'd argue the true idiots are the ones who try and justify this sort of crap with rubbish like they have nothing to hide so there isn't a problem.
The closer they try and pull me towards Windows 10, the further they push me away.. It's pretty cool that they are offering it for free to Windows 7 users however their pushy tactics to try and force users to install it has completely put me off giving it a chance. I'll be getting a new PC this year and will probably try it then but at the moment, Windows 7 works perfectly fine and if it isn't broken, why fix it?
Feels like one step forward, three leaps back for Microsoft. The data collection stuff has single handedly put me off upgrading from Windows 7 to the point where I'd argue they've broken their good one, bad one jinx.. I have no interest in Windows Spyware edition.
They probably said that when mininova went down. Truth is, take one site down, three new ones pop right back up.
Well I hope they have some concept of mercy and allow the rest of us to live in a Kardashian free world.
Well look on the bright side, they've broken their good one, bad one jinx.
10 years jail time? I've seen rapists get off with less.
As a former pirate from back when I was a teenager, it just seems unnecessary to pirate movies now. A combination of my sky subscription and netflix pretty much has all my movie needs covered.
Hilariously stupid, anybody worth catching can learn to get around this in minutes. Things like this just hurt everyone.
I see they're still making pc peripherals that look like they were taken straight out of some budget Sci Fi C movie.. do people actually finds these designs appealing? I'd probably think they looked cool if I was like 14 but judging by the prices, they're not really aimed at young teenagers.
