i think this flaw isnt only intel chips by the look of it. i read another article that said intel is working with AMD to help find a solution as well. google and MS are working with them as well. clearly this is something bigger than they letting on i think. but lets just hope they can sort this out as quick as possible.
after all the reading and research about crytocurrency, i still have no idea where the value comes from.
it isnt backed by anything valueable like normal currency is. it just seems to be a case of supply and demand.
my other bigger question is who created it, who is the face of crytocurency. someone/group had to think this through and program it from scratch. who are those people. what have they gained by creating such a platform?
what i find funny is that some people try so hard to make it look like they have exciting lives by posting almost daily everything they doing....but how busy or fun of a life could you have when you always have time to look at your phone and sit on social media to make sure you get it out there.
guess people who like their privacy in 2018 have no life because in todays times its "pic or it never happened" lol

utter rubbish to be honest. all that will happen is that more and more online stores will be popping up. the jobs will simply move from sales checkout ladies to computer programmers/roboticists. there are certain things you cant really buy online like fruits/veg/food stuffs for which there will be actual stores around.

my dad still uses the S4 with no hassles.
i used my htc desire Z for 5 years before getting the M9. (the only reason for the switch was that froyo/gingerbread was no longer supported for most apps and my battery would only last about 5 hours with moderate usage. no slow downs though.
as for your comment on with regards to being on a tech site about new technologies, are you running a pc with AMD threadripper/intel core i9 cpu with quad titan Zs...

apple is all about status and having the latest and greatest. not about whats fine for most.
the iphone 6 is also fine for most but you cant be seen with that model anymore.
erm.....nope. i can name one phone company that doesn't.
HTC simply stop supporting older devices. they dont force the newer versions of android onto a device even if it is capable of running it. if one wants the latest and greatest android there is the option to root and install custom roms and at this point its fairly straightforward. but this is all at the owners discretion. not the company forcing an update that deliberately slows down your phone.
you clearly never met an apple fanboy before have you.
