Awesome looking concept but it's missing the part where you wait 10 minutes for 3G to retrieve simple data. Its no doubt a long way off being a viable product but definitely liking what they are aiming for.

And there's nothing stylish about the glasses lol, the stock model photos in the article look like idiots.

Christ, just use it via a web browser. The app is limited and crap regardless of the OS its running on.

Same here, Firefox is a good alternative although Opera is probably my favourite as i've never had any issues with it.

Their advertising is no different to a Loreal product claiming it makes you look younger.

Difference being that people who buy Apple products tend to be in the elitist mindset of 'everything they do is the best' Fact is it isn't, they introduce a technology that gets superseded by most of the competition within weeks of release.

Technlogy wise, the 4S was out spec'd in every department by several Android devices before it was even released...

I was watching an advert for Siri earlier as it goes, the guy says something and i'm sat there thinking 'sorry wtf did you just say?' If I barely made out what was being said, considering i'm human and can interpret many different dialects or accents what chance has a $400 dollar piece of Apple sauce got?

The people who rushed out to buy an Apple phone for Siri expecting it to be just like the adverts should have a court injunction slapped on them for being so...

On that note 'MP3 Ringtone' is far better than RingDroid.

It allows you to search a database of music, preview the track and then download it if you want it. Also has an editor so downloaded tracks can be cut and saved as ringtones.

"Could a hacker from half-way around the planet control your printer and give it instructions so frantic that it could eventually catch fire?"

"It’s not only possible, but likely, say researchers at Columbia University"

What i've learned today; hackers can make printers work so franticly to the extent it will break the laws of its physical PPM boundaries and will spontaneously combust. *sigh*

It already can, look at the type of people who were early to adopt the kinect. :D

'Stanford University researchers today detailed a new electrode material they claim holds promise for grid storage batteries that can work 30 years without a dramatic decline in performance...'

Meanwhile for the next 100 years we will be using technology that shows a clear decline in performace within 6 months.

In other news, the Japanese create an engine that accepts WATER as a substitue for petroleum and diesel. Rather than adopt this technology...

'Instead, this seems to be a hack, or an exploit within EA. All of these cases involve Fifa or another EA game. Coincidence? I think not'

These are the same people who buy the same game year in year out but with a +1 added to the previous years number...now with updated rosters and something flashy like 'epic new AI'. It's no coincidence. :)

It's not a hack in ANY shape or form.

What most media outlets refer to as a 'phishing scam' is just social engineering in its simplest form.

'Hello, i'm a Nigerian banker and I have $2.3Bil dollar. Email me your account details and you can have 23%'

^ Thats the jist of it.

A more frequent example -

'Want to know who looks at your Facebook profile, add THIS APP, enter you...

Only the Sun could come up with a gem of a headline like this:

'ONLINE crooks have hacked into thousands of Xbox Live accounts to steal millions of pounds.'

Had to be millions didn't it.

'Hackers stole £84 from Paul Thompson, 29, of Essex. He said: "People need to know this is happening."'

Well done Paul, you're right they need to know this is happening. A round of applause for t...

'In the Resto fight, Collins' eyes were swollen shut, especially shocking since Resto was known to be a light puncher. He suffered a torn iris and permanently blurred vision, which prevented him from boxing again.'

Thats an excerpt from Wiki about a fighter called Billy Collins, not quite the same as the illegal wraps as in this case around 1oz of padding was taken from his gloves. The above text is the result of such a small change.

Tampering...

@swinesucker

Inventing something doesn't mean you are infinitely ahead of the curve, blink and its already been improved and adapted by someone else.

Apple introduce the touchscreen phone to the masses, in my eyes HTC and Samsung are now panning them by developing the idea further.

Take a look at the games console market over the past hmmmm 20-25 years. One thing I can tell you, it wasn't the US developing the leading consoles. ...

Agreed, I can't see anything coming out anytime soon that will make my S2 have a heart attack when running.

Battery on the other hand, would be nice to not need a recharge if I game on it in excess of 2 hours.

Agreed, my dual core S2 lasts around 2-3 hours if im lucky after a full charge if i play any games.

No optimisation for multiple cores it would seem.

This might be slightly misleading, possibly over-selling itself.

Windows 8 will effectively be emulating the XBOX 360 architecture. Anyone who knows anything about emulation will know you need a pretty beefy setup to emulate a dedicated piece of hardware.

The Windows OS is an overhead in itself, i'd be quite interested to see how it pans out for specifications.

Where did you get the '45% of internet users are still on dial-up in the US' fact from?

You'll probably find the figure is closer to 10%-15%

http://www.marketingcharts....

And that data is over 3 years old.

Funny how many stories about someone whos just died just waffle about how great they were. Most people know Jobs was an obnoxious prick... putting 'a creative genius; a visionary; a friend' comments aside, he was still a turtleneck wearing prick.
