If that dead link is about the 1mobile market app, then its pointless as most apps dont work due to the knidle not having play services.

Ransomware is truly hideous. Probably the worse of the lot. Seen a show the other day about it. Apparently incredibly difficult to do anything about it once you have it.
Personally, I would never pay an idiot holding me to ransom no matter how important the files were. Just get a new laptop/PC or do the easy thing and back all your stuff to the cloud beforehand then if you ever get ransomware, restore your computer. And if restore has been disabled, replace the HDD and reinst...
