With Samsung's reputation for smartphones up in flames (pun not intended), to do that and create a sympathetic story is going to be a tricky one.
A lot of stories go around, as people constantly search for the 'next best thing.' But the market for social networks has become saturated to the point where none of these really pick up.
Thoughts on the announcement? To me it doesn't seem like the breakthrough Apple expected it to be.

That's where I can see this going. As the technology behind this moves forward, the cost of the parts will go down for these. Just a shame it takes a while for this to happen, bringing down the quality of life with it.
