Typical Western ignorance. No clue about what is happening in the world but always have to give their halfwitted, uninformed 2 cents to everything.

Russia has been under a barrage of sanctions and propaganda for over 1000 years, recently, yet another campaign to conquer Russia has been kicked off. Russia has always been either too white, too red, too communist, too socialist, too christian, not christian enough, too colourful, too conservative, too authoritarian, too libert...

I've since switched a few people from XP to Lubuntu. It's similar in workflow and runs much, much faster on older mashines.

Let this POS die already and move on...

That's not at all what they mean with this, the entire point went right over your head.

They stated this months ago already, in February, right after the PS4 reveal, that there will be no restrictions and no always-online.

They clearly mentioned all of that in their press conference in response to Microsoft, but they haven't changed their strategy because of Microsoft, and that is what they are saying.

I hope there will be a way to install it on existing Android phones. Official or hacked rom doesn't matter to me as long as it works great. Currently running Android 4.2.1 Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my 1st generation Galaxy S, it's incredibly fast for a 1GHz single core device, I can only imagine how fast a native OS would run on it.

It all comes down to preference through personal experience. A couple of friends of mine always use AMD/ATI, because they had lot's of problems with NVIDIA cards and Intel CPUs. I'm an Intel/NVIDIA guy. I had ATI cards die on me, drivers crash every 5 minutes (VPU recover anyone?), the freaking active cooling fan MELT OFF! I'm not joking, it was hanging in mid air by the cables. Random PC shutdowns due to overheating of the CPU (No dust), even after replacing the cooling unit. I h...

Something that actually turns a profit for them? There are rumours and speculation that the N9 is more profitable than their Windows phones. And it's not even available everywhere.

Celebrate with bubbly till I pass out...

Seriously, that would be amazing. If Windows dies, all developer focus would be on Linux, it would be up to snuff in no time. Finally all the games would come out for it, all the major programs like Photoshop would find their way onto the open OS.

@gizmig, try Ubuntu, all you have to do is burn a disc or put it on a USB stick and try it without installing. It is very easy to use.

Techspy is for, well, tech, and the PS4 is a tech device, it's purpose is irrelevant.

They really come accross as ADHS (Attention deficite hyper syndrome) kids with hacking skills. Hacking websites left right and center and always publicly announce it. They should dial it down a notch, they probably don't see it that way but they are just blowing the doors off of any internet freedom we are currently "allowed". If they keep this up a voice louder than theirs will convince the majority that they are cyber terrorist and that we need protection from them, making way...

I am a proud owner of a Galaxy S (1), bought it when it was still fresh on the market. I recently installed Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.3) on it. It is freaking amazing. Samsung pulled official support, but I could care less. It runs lightning fast and stable although it's an early beta. And I am confident the amazing xda-developers community will keep up the support for the phone for at least another year. I have yet to find a graphics heavy game like Shadowgun that doesn't run s...

Copyright laws, along with all the other intellectual property protection laws and patents have to be reformed entirely. Especially the patent system which was flawed from the get go. IBM holds a patent for a black-hole generator... So if somebody is to invent one now, they have to pay IBM for it, or even surrender their technology to IBM, beyond ridiculous.

Availability of older entertainment media, like music, TV shows, movies or video games is very limited at best. Particu...

"Apparently, some of today’s students are complaining that they’re so unused to writing by hand that they can’t keep it up for a three hour exam."

This pretty much sums up the issue. So the solution to lazy writing is less writing? I don't think so. Even though it is true, in our day and age the use of handwriting is declining more and more, I still consider it an essential skill, no matter where you work, at some point everyone needs to write something down, fr...

Well, the product apparently can't sell itself, so in order to make it sell, Microsoft hands out bribes. How is this not cheating? It may be allowed but it's still cheating. Microsoft always does something like that. They release mediocre products and just buy out the competition or circumvent a direct confrontation, like using bribery to "make" people buy their crap.

Exactly right, the bad thing is, those Apple fanboys are a vocal bunch. I got so sick of reading Steve Jobs centric headlines back when he died, especially when all the websites and even TV channels tried to constantly 1up themself by going from fanboy-love to inappropriatly affectionate all the way over to borderline necrophiliac. And they still won't let him rest in peace. Now they made a doll that Apple fanboys can put on their altar, also creating a new niche black market for it in In...

Just shows how out of touch and ignorant Nokia is. They still believe they are the Nr. 1, which was the case 10 years ago. But those days are, luckily, over.

Sony already experimented with the 3D cam technology back in the day for EyeToy 2, so I think they already have the technology.

But besides that, what's the point having something like Kinect in a TV? Correct me if I'm wrong but the infrared camera has a limited range, like 2 meters IIRC. So... what's the point?

OK let's assume there is no range problem. Still no point. Waving your hand to switch a channel? Yeah that's awesome if you'r...

Yeah right...

Another empty promise millions will fall for and blow things way out of proportion.

If Kinect would deliver now what was promised a few years ago when it was still called Natal, I could give it the finger, but as things are now there's no point, it wouldn't see it :(.
