As dexus said, this was a 360 error, so this probably isn't realted to the "next xbox" but running current-gen games on Windows 8. Except the Xperia Play is an awesome gaming machine. I use it to play emulators for all different systems including N64 and it works really well. Obviously it was designed with gaming in mind, but it also proves your point because it's got very outdated hardware inside and still performs admirably.
