OR, you could, you know, not use the internet. Or smartphones.

Android grew too, according to the article. I'm sure there are converts in all directions.

I think it's important to understand that "growing faster" doesn't mean "selling more than". Android still sells the most hardware, so it's harder for it to grow because it's already got a huge percentage of the overall sales, partly because of the aforementioned "cheap android devices". The market is getting pretty saturated at this point with smartphones, you don't see too many people buying flip phones any more. So there isn't a huge...

Bad article title, I went into it thinking it was an anti-Windows 8 article where it's really pro-8 and anti-Start Menu.

Try new maths, it's been nearly 12 years.

This appeals to such a small segment of the market, I feel like it's destined to fail unfortunately. I'd like to see other mainstream manufacturers make "niche" products that might appeal more to consumers.

Apple will license the 4G patent, like all other phone manufacturers have been doing, since you know HTC isn't the only one making 4G phones. I love how Apple licenses technologies from other companies yet keeps all its patents to themselves and sues any company that makes anything remotely like their tech.

You're kidding me, right? There are like 1 billion knock-offs in China, and they think they actually have legal ground over Apple? Apple has been a giant douche when it comes to the whole Samsung/Android thing, but seriously, this must be a joke. This "Goophone" is the most blatant knock-off I've seen of an iPhone, like ever. What the hell legal ground could they possibly think they have?

here's a thought. What if they didn't actually change the dock connector for the final product, maybe they released this prototype with a unique proprietary connector in the case that one of the prototypes finds its way to the public (as iPhone prototypes are wont to do) and that way someone who finds one can't boot it up, much like the gentleman in the video is finding? I wouldn't put it past Apple, it actually is a very elegant solution to a problem they're faced over t...

As dexus said, this was a 360 error, so this probably isn't realted to the "next xbox" but running current-gen games on Windows 8. Also, consoles have ALWAYS essentially been computers, I don't know what the big fuss is. They're been trying to turn game consoles into the "all-in-one device for years, this is nothing new. PS2 was also advertised as a DVD player, and PS3 and 360 and Wii all have internet browsers and Netflix and lots of other apps. None of this is...

Except the Xperia Play is an awesome gaming machine. I use it to play emulators for all different systems including N64 and it works really well. Obviously it was designed with gaming in mind, but it also proves your point because it's got very outdated hardware inside and still performs admirably.

Umm, no they don't. It clearly says "No" in the iPhone column beside Flash support, unless you were confused and were reading the line about the camera flash...
