Wow! 2gb! They almost caught up to the start of 2013!

So Notch, Carl, and Jakob are leaving. These are the founders. It's like Microsoft buying Rare but the main people behind it leaving. I wonder what Notch will think of next.

I like the idea of metal and hate the idea of plastic, but metal dents and scratches a lot more easily. Plastic feels cheap, but those dents in my MacBook Pro are still there the last time I checked.

Could actually hint at something to do with the interface. You break kit kats into sections. Could be a UI / Interface change on how things work. Probably reading into it too much, but who knows? ;)

While Jobs was at helm, Apple used a stlye/feature set that was present in other industries but not in their own industry, put them into one cohesive product that felt like magic to many consumers. With Cook, Apple is taking ideas from direct competitors. It's quite different. Apple is no longer shaping trends and visual styles. They are reacting. It's sad actually. To be fair, we have no idea what Jobs had planned past 2012. Could be he would have gone in the same direction.

From what I've seen, it's not as bad as this guy says. It does a lot right. But it does feel more like a response to other products and trying to react more than Apple doing what THEY envision as the future. It feels more like a "Oh. Android users are enjoying that and Windows users are used to THIS sytle, so let's do it this way..." Apple is starting to react more than innovate for sure. Nothing really wrong with iOS7 at all from what I can tell. I'm sure plently wi...

What features make it exciting that AREN'T offered on other platforms already? I like the cohesiveness of the product, but it's not making many people "excited" about Apple again. Release a new way of watching TV like Jobs was hinting. Create an iWatch. Not just a nice looking rehash of Windows 8 and BB10 with a touch of Google Cards.

This is from Forbes:

"This brings me to Schiller’s boast that Apple is innovating again. What Schiller...

I think what is fresh in people's minds are the lawsuiats Apple was throwing at Google and Samsung for copying things as simple as rounded icons and that sort of thing. Now Apple is looking like a total dolt and doing the same thing that they were so butt hurt about. There are SO many things that they even feature in this video that have been around for a while now. Both in function and in the way it is presented. Do they do a good job? Yes. Have they actually created something new? Not e...

If Samsung can release this phone with basically a hover over option and patent it properly, it's going to really handicap Apple from having a pretty essential feature in the evolution of these phones. Also patent the crap out of flexible displays that they've shown so Apple doesn't steal that idea by releasing their rumored flexible display watch.

Apple had issues before the iPhone 5 release. People wanted to wait for the release, so sales slowed down. Same with Windows 8. It would be stupid to buy just before this release.

Before Apple started this crap, I would have said that this is pushing it. Now it's just what they deserve just to keep things balanced and Apple's cheap patent pride under control. Apple needs to be attacked to keep them from constantly holding Android and any other phone makers back over a broken patent system.

I'm fine with Apple dropping services. But not when what they replace it with is years behind. iMaps is wayyyyy behind. It's up to Apple to make sure when they decide to have their own maps that the data they are using is wayyyyy better than what they are using. Google maps might have had hiccups, but at the time it was still the best mapping option. Apple decided to take a 9/10 mapping application and replace it with a 4/10 mapping service.

Apple stole stuff and Android stole stuff. Apple was the first to bring some of this to a smartphone, but some of it was already there with palm pilots, some with Windows Tablet PCs, and some with other phones. It just pisses me off when Apple claims everyone is just copying them and they are the only innovators in features consumers want. A heck of a lot of features were there before Apple, and Apple were just copying the same ideas to a smartphone.

I have no problem with people buying an iPhone and loving it. But to trip over eachother and act like the next release is the second coming of Jesus, and keep on upgrading every year is just stupid. It's the same damn phone with the same dated interface. To get any info on anything, open up the app. No widgets at this point and having to copy the notification bar is just showing how safe Apple has been playing it for about 2 years. The iPhone 5 better offer something a hell of a lot bette...

They should use these skills to take down child porn rings, track pedophiles and report them and more. This is such a waste of talent.

This makes way more sense if Sony wants to branch out outside of the Playstation brand to offer general entertainment, rentals, and so on. Playstation branding has basically been 100% games for so long.

If so, it begs the question.... Why wouldn't smart phones be PCs then? The only difference is that they are smaller... Who decided a tablet was and a smart phone wasn't?

Do you follow the news at all? Apple has been constantly doing the same thing the last two years against Samsung and others. If Apple is going to try and slow down the leading market share of Android, why can't Google do this just once? Apple has had several lawsuits going at a time the last 2 years. I hate it regardless of who does it, but Apple has been playing cheap like this more than any company I've ever witnessed.

These are probably those Apple lovers who follow like sheep without thinking, but now realize that there is still very little html5 support and are left out in the dark. I'm no flash lover, but everyone needs time to transfer over. Apple jumped the gun wayyy to early and are looking silly for it now.

4887d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Until there is proper support everywhere for html5, this is stupid. Stupid like Apple cutting off Flash when there is still wayyyyyy too much flash content out there. Having any iDevice right now is having a device with blinders on to a majority of media on the web. This is like cutting off all physical media like BR and DVDs right now. It'll take time. These occupy people are clueless.

As for it being crashy? I have the Quicktime plugin crash a lot more than Flash for m...
