"is about $109 per month over 18 months"

That's 2,000 dollars. Meanwhile the cheapest surface starts at 899. The extra incentives don't sound good enough to pay 2000 dollars.

That is an issue in other places. Making it illegal to have a sugary treat isn't the answer though

This isn't a good situation for anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if the kid can get a lawyer to help with this.

I don't think it would be bad for you. But with the amount of times I've been actually shocked I don't necessarily want to have it waking me up every morning. I could imagine developing a sub conscious fear of waking up. Pavlov's dogs, etc.

"Why are they doing this?"

Because Singapore is a very ass backwards country when it comes to certain things. They have such strict laws as gum being illegal. 700 dollar fine for chewing gum.

That sucks, but at the same time that's amazing.

The progress in autonomous travel is silly on a certain level to me. "Self driving cars not done yet? F it, let's put people in the air NOW!"

Although I work as a tech, android is something that I'm still not fully comfortable with when it comes to any sort of malware. All phone devices feel too locked down to me without the ability to make simple preventive measures.

Third party is the best option for businesses. The rest are standard practices. I haven't seen spam that I haven't personally signed up for in a long time.

Screw up on the tech's end but also on Microsoft's end. A potentially bad one also.

Samsung's cameras have been average at best from what I can tell, lately. I have an S5 and I hate it sometimes.

Shame people think the actual moon landing was faked. Hopefully SpaceX and various organizations can make proper breakthroughs. I wish I could have gone into this field of study instead of what I had chosen, I would have loved to be working with these things.

"Vinyl record sales in 2015 have brought in more revenue than youtube"

Wow. I have contributed to those vinyl record sales as I'm an avid collector, but this is surprising. On the other hand

"the billions of streams it generates gives the music labels promotional benefits that cannot be garnered elsewhere"

I hate this argument used. Promotional benefits means nothing if you're not bringing in money. I've ...

No thanks. I'd rather just have a really loud alarm clock/radio wake me up. Has been effective so far.

I can say first hand that some news stations were running a story about how "hackers can hack into your computers and tvs and watch you in your home". Paraphrased, of course but pretty close to what they were saying. And seeing this on TV, or on various news websites has convinced many people that they're going to be "hacked" any day and people will be spying on them.

"Expand their chosen medium beyond"

Except all of these things are a failure of said mediums. Movies excel because they lead their viewer through a story. You see what the director wants to see. You are fed specific information. You add the ability to not focus on that information and your movie fails. People **will** be looking around and not paying attention to the story at hand. Contrast this with video games, where developers want to constantly take control aw...

"the experiments facilitated by NIST also focused on improving technology that can map connections between people with similarly themed tattoos or make inferences about people from their tattoos"

So, there is still a possibility that several people can get the same tattoo of a known criminal and the system would identify them as that criminal.

Video game developers are making movies and hollywood directors are now making video games. It's like everyone has lost the concept of what makes their medium of entertainment great.

Hopefully not intelligent enough to make any of the AI themed movie plots become true.
