But that same end-result of trying to decimate humanity could happen if AI's "believed" in a lot of other things not taught by religion:

-human-driven climate change
-national superiority
-etc. etc.

That's why it's seems more reasonable to discuss all the dangers that come with the development of AI rather than the internet equivalent of chumming.

I can't blame you for being skeptical, but as time has gone on and things like "smartphones" didn't seem like something that would have much prominence it's best to just wait and see what benefits might be shown in the future with this kind of tech.

Like with some of Sahil's examples, it could include features that may help us compartmentalize our time more efficiently. Notifications via smartphone on how long the turkey has left in the oven, asse...

Interesting info here, Syko.

I'm in line with what others are saying in the risks involved with hacking cars and such. Plus, driving is such an enjoyable task for me already that I'd have no use for letting computer take over.

"Opening devices across the board would seemingly just lead to a Wal-Mart style price race where the cheapest product that connects would be good enough for most people, and that would be bad for the bottom line."...

@thorstein

I suggest citing your more 'empirical' sources if you're going to play the "they're just biased" card when it comes to the information readily available on google.

In reality, Islam can be considered the fastest growing religion/belief, depending on how far back you're graphing like from say...older Guiness World Record numbers (90-2000) or even as far back as Reader's Digest Almanac and Yearbook from the 80'...

Most would preemptively disregard the series outright and say tvtropes.org already covered the subject matter.

Whenever I see the hacker term incorrectly used against LizardSquad it brings me back to dumb movies that confuse "hacking" with discovering or correctly guessing someone else's password. It's silly.

"@Coolbeans and @cl1983.. There won't be much work for you, I'm not sure they are trolls over here.. Unlike N4G :P"

Yep. Needless to say, it's much more quiet on that front over here. Though the amount of spam can get really annoying.

Hope to be of valuable service. If you send PMs my way, please forgive how long it may take for me to reply since I might be caught up at work during weekdays and sometimes Saturdays.

Thoughts and prayers go out to your father making a speedy recovery, Racer.

Funny how rationality typically tranlates to "whatever I'm saying/similar to what I'm saying" like that.

@-Mezzo-

"So what you're saying is that they stand still while holding a civilian over their heads, underneath a missile so they don't get hurt?"

Let the record reflect I never stipulated this sort of grotesque detail. That's not the only way to use a "human shield" in these sorts of urban conflicts.

That's one thing I was annoyed of when with the few articles I submitted here. Way to go, Racer.

And trying to get yourself into the blog lotto, I see. [o_o]~
