Nothing beats desktop gaming. Nothing. Even with old games like AC Unity in ultra @ 60 FPS that the console won't be able to match until five years from now and that's depressing.

Why? I have a Windows 8 laptop and it's great. In fact Windows 8 is the best laptop OS ever. This fear or hate on Windows 8 is completely irrational considering it's smaller size and super smooth performance.

Chrome sucks on Windows 8. It takes forever to launch and doesn't support touch.
I checked out some Windows 8 convertables and touch screen laptops. I'm not gonna lie. The touch interface freaking rocks. Having the power of the PC with the accessibility of a tablet is nice.
How is the performance not better in Windows 8? You need to stop parroting the haters and actually give the OS a chance. There's a host of memory optimization all over the place.
Here's another reason I love Windows 8. The install size is smaller making it very SSD friendly.
I can see why some people hate the Modern UI. I totally get it. But even that is optional if you know how to use Google.
I switched to Windows 8 last week and I'm loving it. Seriously this hate on Windows 8 is completely unfounded. The great thing about Windows 8 is you can have it both ways. Want a tablet UI for your laptop or all in one PC? It can do that. Want the full desktop experience? It can do that too.
Another great thing about Windows 8 is that the simplified start menu made Windows easier for my child to use. Now he spend more time on my desktop than he does on his iPad.

Ditched my iPhone 4 for a Samsung S3 while waiting for the iPhone 5. After the iPhone 5 came out I realized that I should've ditched my iPhone 4 earlier.

I was about to buy the Fire but then I realized that it represent everything I don't want from an Android tablet. The small storage size, the lack of expandable memory, the lack of the Android market place, the inability to use the stock android OS.
If I wanted to live in a gated ecosystem then I would buy an iPad 2.
