all they needed to do was make it a option as to how you start off for desktop pc's. if we were given a choice how it will continually start up, either in metro mode or desktop mode, all this hatred would have been muted from the get go,
the only child here is you who again doesn't realize what is in front of him, you ont have to see or use the tiles, it a dded feature, what dont you understand, bypass that and its windows 7, do you like windows 7, if so then windows 8 is the same, going on and on doesnt change the fact you dont have to deal with the parts that are meant for tablet or touch, its that simple, everything else is excuses.
thats your fault and not windows 8, why is everyone so lazy, everything you think is gone is one click away, you dont have to start with tiles, there are apps to start just like win7, to get all the control panels,run and other things you supposedly cant find, simply right click in the bottom left corner.

exactly, but i dont get why people in general dont see that, everything is going touch, all tablets are touch, all hybrids will have touch, so ms did the right thing, you have the choice to use it both ways, so they covered their bases and windows 8 is faster then win 7 in every way.
its still rather early but 3d printing is the next big thing plain and simple and once they get this down to a more user friendly device and priced right then expect it to take off and start a whole new generation for years to come. Wew ill all be buying 3d printers in the next 5 to 10 years
your not looking close enough, in 10 years if not earlier , 3d printing will be the rage, and once it has matured it will start a new revolution, I see this in everyone's home, it seems early and to new but this is one product that will change how we do things forever and its not far away, yes its a little premature for home use but this is one area were it will advance faster then expected, new printer, new 3d ink and in the right pricerange and presto a whole new revolution is born

and thats why windows 8 tablets will kick butt, i cant stand tablets but with windows 8 that will all change, we want it all and not just apps and windows 8 will provide the best of both worlds, apps will come.

well you dont have to drag it up, i think you can click it and it goes away, but i do get what your saying, they still can improve some things, i also dont like how when you go to the bottom corner to pop up the start button or top left corner to open up apps or windows, that if you move your cursor they close to fast, it takes a little getting used to so they need to fix that.

windows 8 is awesome, i dont understand the hate, yes there are some changes to the main windows and it takes a good 30 minutes to get comfortable with it but once you do its no different then windows 7 with a new layer added which will help those with touch and tablets.
over all its very snappy and responsive, the main windows section works just like it did before but there are changes you need to familiarize yourself with first since something are placed elsewhere now, othe...
so basiclly pc are a dead bread. while i like metro and i dont mind apps it looks like they are moving away form the way pc's work.
i feel restrained with apps.
i recently got to play with the latest windows 7 phone and to my shock its very fluid, fast and over all the metro design is pretty dam sexy.
the prime is full of issues, i had to return mine and so did many users due to freezing, reboots and crappy wifi and gps thats why a new 700 model is incoming.
the ability to close videos on homepage is also gone, if they made it slightly wider but keep the same look, add the x button back and then add multiple videos lines but smaller ones under neath them main video would be perfect
that webos latest update is hot, windows 8 will be ported to it as hp is testing that now and 2.3 android is almost done being ported with cm7, its a great tablet for the killer price.
win 8 is just a faster win7 but i agree that they shouldnt of forced us to have metro as the main option, it should of been a option for desktop to users to pick between metro or the typical desktop start page.
