Sammy Hub - Samsung has announced upgraded models for its Series 7 notebooks in South Korea. The Series 7 Gamer and Series 7 Chronos edition notebooks now feature Intel’s 3rd Generation (Ivy Bridge) Core i7 processor as well as a one terabyte hard disk and Nvidia GeForce GPU (GTX 675M in Gamer and GT 640M in Chronos) that claims to improve graphics performance by 50 percent.
Pocket-Lint: The Samsung Series 7 Chronos is an update to a pro-end machine that arrived in 2011. It's a 15.6-inch display computer with a number pad at the end of the keyboard and RAM Accelerator software, designed to provide a 150 per cent speed boost to the already meaty quad-core Core i7 CPU, 2GB AMD-dedicated graphics card and 8GB RAM combo. There's also a 1TB HDD tucked into its aluminium frame.
TheVerge - Samsung’s Series 7 lineup is targeted at folks who want a little more oomph in their laptops, offering larger screens, gaming-ready GPUs, and potent processors. It’s time to meet the family’s portly fun-loving uncle, the Series 7 Gamer.
Gizmodo: At a hefty 17", the Samsung Series 7 Gamer is not exactly what you might call "portable." It's a laptop that's squarely in the realm of desktop replacement. The system specs say it weighs in at just under 8.4 pounds, but it's still not something you'd exactly want to carry around.
