Just now Nvidia has revealed their new display technology which they call DIDIM. This technology has the ability to control the brightness of every pixel in every frame. This means that while you are watching a movie your screen brightness will be automatically controlled every frame. This will result in, according to Nvidia CEO, a 40% increase in battery life."
