0800 numbers to be free from mobiles following Ofcom proposals

Pocket-Lint: Communications watchdog Ofcom has put forward proposals that will see 0800 numbers becoming free on mobile phones.

Currently mobile users can pay up to 40p a minute to call the toll-free standard, but the new proposals seem set to scrap that.

Ofcom Wants UK Internet Providers To Pay You When Broadband Goes Bad

NRM: "Broadband problems? Under new Ofcom proposals, you will no longer have to “fight tooth and nail” for the “fair compensation” you are owed. If approved, Internet Service Providers will automatically have to pay customers for bad broadband, delayed repairs and missed engineer appointments."
