Today, Logitech introduced the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 - the company's first light-powered keyboard. The Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard powers itself whenever there's light, even indoors, making battery hassles a thing of the past.
"The keyboard is still the best input device for typing emails and IMs, updating your Facebook page or posting responses to your favorite blogs - and the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 is the next big innovation in keyboard technology," said Denis Pavillard, vice president of product marketing for Logitech's keyboards and desktops. "The Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard is powered by light but can work in total darkness for up to three months. Plus, with its PVC-free construction and fully recyclable packaging, it's designed to minimize its footprint."
KnowTechie writes: "If you’re using a Magic Mouse user, listen, this isn’t an attack. The mouse was good enough for me to use it for nearly a decade. But keep in mind, there are better options out there, and this $35 option from Logitech is one of them."
Logitech is adding two new keyboards and two new mice to its lineup.
The company also has new headphones with ANC and memory foam ear pads.
Would love to see a review of this soon, not just for the solar power aspect, but also for the design itself; looks rather nice, i say.
This is neat, dont know why i never thought of this
something good for environment :D
they should use this technology in other gadgets as well. it would be handy to have solar panel in your mobile device.
I'd really prefer large leaps in solar panel technology considering I live in Phoenix, AZ and have 364.5 days of sunshine a year and yet Solar Technology is still not widely used. But if a keyboard is as good as it gets I'll take it I guess =/
Good for the environment, and means I don't need to change batteries
