Bell HTC Legend reaches “End of Life” due to HTC “supply constraints”

MS: Bell released the HTC Legend a couple months ago and it seems it’s already been given the “End of life” status. According to the screenshot we received it states that “due to ongoing supply constraints from the manufacturer, the HTC Legend for Bell is effective immediately being discontinued”.

HTC Legend finally updates to Android 2.2 in Europe

Engadget: Sure took a long while, but the Android 2.2 update is now available to all HTC Legends residing in Europe and... no, sorry, this isn't the just-announced Gingerbread. It's Froyo, the one before it -- trust us, this isn't a frozen dessert you won't mind in the midst of winter. And don't bother asking about 2.3 because HTC isn't giving specifics.

Froyo flies in for Vodafone HTC Legend

Pocket-Lint: It's a busy day in the world of Froyo.

First up, Vodafone has begun rolling out its Android 2.2 update to Legend users.

HTC had promised a Froyo update for the handset earlier this month, but had warned: "For those of you with carrier-branded versions of Legend there will be a slightly longer wait...once we finalise the update within HTC, the software must then go through the appropriate approval process at each carrier that supports Legend on their network. This is the same process for all of our handsets, and Legend is no different".

HTC Legend Froyo update within weeks

Pocket-Lint: HTC has confirmed that it will release a Froyo (Android 2.2) update for unbranded HTC Legend handsets within the next couple of weeks.

In a message to its Facebook fans, the mobile phone company says it has been working hard to get it sorted and that fans shouldn’t have too much longer to wait.
