It finally brings Android almost up to scratch with the iPhone OS App store! And with the acquisition of Simplify Media, they'll also have a brilliant iTunes competitor and a great tool for syncing Android phones. Still one problem remains though - Android fragmentation. Will be interesting to see how many phones are updated to the new version of the OS.

Only Android handsets with an ARM Cortex-A8 (or better) processor are likely to make the jump.

That pretty much narrows the field to the Texas Instruments OMAP3xxx & other ARM Cortex-A8 SoCs, Tegra 2 (ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore), Qualcomm Snapdragon (QSD8250/8650) and the Qualcomm MSM7320.

Hero, Eris, G1, Moment, Cliq, etc. don't qualify.

Good news! Google might be taking the market over the iPhone, particularly with their choice to utilize <a title="Froyo along with Google: Android 2.2 Operating System" href=" http://personalmoneystore.c... Flash Player</a> where iPhone refuses to. For many you tech fans who always want one of the most up-to-date items, the Google Android system Froyo could be for you. Froyo will be marketed to be much better compared to iPhone because it has the capability to not just play games, but to build games. Froyo could be the most current system on the market, but it won't be for long. By the end of the fourth quarter 2010 Google intends to launch, Gingerbread, which is one step higher, faster, and superior to Froyo.
