It was corrected on legit news sites that she was texting not taking a "selfie" (that was taken the day before the accident)I see a lot of sites still rather put that she was taking pics right before. More shocking I guess.
Still pretty bad though.

It's a tragedy...! Why do people seem to loose common sense when it comes to selfie's. Some other guy a couple weeks ago nearly had his head taken off from a train by trying the same thing.

Selfie = the loss of self-preservation.

Poor girl. Not a smart move obviously, just a time to take this as a real lessen to us all. I dont use phone and drive, i am amazed however my parents of all people cant seem to stop. They say AS THEY ARE DOING IT "im just typing something or checking text," crazy! My girlfriend got in a minor hood bender with someone for same reason...

only once you've learned to forgive will you know peace. It's sad how quick we are to ridicule another human being. Sure she caused her death but what good does bad mouthing her do?

Anyone caught on their phone while driving should face an immediate 3 month ban from driving, a big fine and have points put on their licence. If it ever happens again, then the ban becomes permanent. Zero tolerance time, no excuses, no ifs, ands or buts.
I feel very sorry for this woman's family as her air-headed negligence has robbed them of their loved one. I have sympathy for the woman to an extent - it's a shame she died - but the manner of her death was so easily preventable it's hard not to shake your head and wonder why she thought it was worth risking her own life, and the lives of other road users, over something as insignificant as a few stupid texts or status updates.
I only hope that others take something from this tragic event and take more care while on the road. It only takes a second to lose everything, or to become responsible for the lives of others being cut short. Think if you'd be able to live with yourself if your idiocy robbed another family of their son/daughter/father/mother etc....think of all that before deciding to pick up the phone while driving.

This is a bad accident. Don't know why educated people do things like that. Why can't they pull up their car side the road if they want to attend a call or "have to take a slefie in car". :P

I swaer, everytime i see someone driving extra slow or swerving around 99.9% of the time its not because they are drunk or stoned. They are talking on the phone, or texting!

Just crazy! Sucks that someone died because of this. Sucks even more when they kill an innocent person texting or talking.
