Well, iPads are for old people. The iPad 2 was the last iPad to be cool. I would know, since I am also cool.

sorry.... but are these the same teens who belive that Blackberry BBm is the bee's-knee's?? Despite the fact that most developers are saying that they are no longer interested in making software for that platform.

They must have been interviewing the kids of Microsoft employee's. I may yet change from iPad to an Android tablet as I bought my kids a pair of Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's for Christmas and really like them but I would not even remotely consider a Windows RT tablet right now unless you gave it away free of charge. I'm an adult so therefore outsiide of this survey's demographic but I can tell you now there is not one age group that finds Microsoft 'cool' and that has always been an issue for them getting a foothold in the mobile phone and tablet market else they would have capitalised on their mobile OS long before Apple and Google came on the scene.

I wonder who paid for this survey. I'm not sure if apple are done or not, they haven't really inspired for a while like they did with the release of iPad and iPhone- but the surface is cool? I thought it was a complete flop.

I can see why teens think MS surface is cool and why teens would want one but the biggest issue with surface is the price.
Everyone knows apple is a premium price product company but when a product comes out that is priced at double (here in the uk) than apples ipad for a similar product them most consumers are thinking MS are taking the piss.

It's cool to own by teenagers as its a sign of "mine is more expensive so it must be better"

I have been saying for 12 Months that MS are starting to change there image form a Business company to a cool one in terms of how the devices work and look. It started with the Zune. Even though the device did not out sell the Ipod it was the start of the new MS as the Zune devices looked cool felt solid and the software was very good and easy to use. Then the 360 has carried it on with the Dash and Kinect. Then came Windows Phone which looked a cool and refreshing OS but its biggest issue was the Hardware. It did not have any stand out hardware until the Lumia came on the Market and now with Windows Phone 8 and the Lumia 920 and HTC 8X selling well it has started to get the OS noticed and it will soon be the number 3 os in the mobile space. This is where we get to the Surface and even though the sales are not in the number of the IPad it has shown the way to HP, Dell, Acer ect on how a tablet running Windows 8 should be build and look and in the Next 12 to 24 months I see MS being up there with Apple and Google in the Tablet and Mobile market.

For people who say windows 8 is a flop think back to when the Xoom came out and it did not sell as well as the Ipad and now look at the sales of some of the other Andriod tablets from Samsung ect and this just shows just because something dose not hit the ground running dose not mean it is a flop. MS have said WP and Windows OS are there for the long run not to take over the world over night. But that said I still see Apple and Google doing well in the OS space to.
