No mention of Super C? but some of these look good.
ill take a download right now lol

barb_wire4201d ago

Is Super C any good?

I've been using ConvertXtoDVD for years and I've also recently started using FreeMake.

fatstarr4201d ago (Edited 4201d ago )

Yeah I have been using it since the XP days,
things might have gotten better in terms of whats available on the market for free. but all the free converters usually wanted money they converted half your content or there was some limitation.
superc never failed me, i dont know about video conversions all I used it for was Audio conversions and ripping audio from videos

Also I have like some version thats 4 years old seems like people are complaining with the new version.

@ fatstarr

Much obliged - will have to check out Super C.. in my experience, you can never have too many converters.

Thank You

I've heard stories of Trojan programs built into the builds of SuperC, plus adding junk to your system, and setting off your antivirus and security software. I never heard of other converter programs do that. Happened to a friend of mine and he got a "good copy"". its gives the option to not install, but ends up installing anyways. Thats why I avoid the program and go with with something like handbrake. may need plugins and harder to use, but it does not install adware junk into your system...

HandBrake is a general-purpose, open-source, cross-platform, multithreaded video transcoder software application. And not one mention about it? Its free as well...

I did find it strange that handbrake was absent. He probably could have made it a top 10 list.

The post is about "Video Converters You Didn't Know About". Handbrake is quite famous and hence excluded from the list.
