Ryse didn't get the credit it deserved because of it being an exclusive for xbox, at a time where the console had negative PR. It was a very useful game.

That would be cool. I enjoyed son of Rome. Could do with some deeper combat mechanics maybe but I wouldn't be adverse to a sequal. There's a good world there to build on.

Hope this is true. I loved Ryse and MS needs to bring the games this year along with Scorpio cuz Sony is dominating. Should be one hell of an E3! Would love to see Insomniac announce Sunset OD sequel also.

Got it via a Humble Bundle, and it was REALLY repetitive, short, and not super fun. Steam and Metacritic reviews agree that it was a mediocre game. Plus, if they make another one, it will come out on Scorpio, One, and PC. It definitely will not be exclusive because it will come out on PC.

Project Scorpio? Doubt it will be called that, I expect we will all know in June.

Ryse is the "Order 1886" of Xbox One. Generally the critics and most gamers agree that its a very average game with gorgeous visuals. However you have this extremely vocal minority determined to convince everyone else they're wrong about it.

Sony didn't let the Knack IP die after one entry and so Microsoft should pick up and improve the Ryse formula for a second game.

Article title is redundant considering it would be available all Xbox Ones and PC, and could appear on PS4 since the IP doesn't belong to them, just like with Sunset Overdrive. At this point though, it's either MS gets involved to fund it or nothing.

Ryse 2 would be a good launch game for xbox one scorpion and it could showoff some of xbox one scorpion power with 4k hdr but just have to see at E3 what they got plan

I loved the game, even MP was hella fun. Sadly it had a few issues that can easily be worked out in a sequel.

Those saying the game was QTE's obviously never played it. The qte's were done in response to performing certain combos while fighting. To avoid them just don't activate them through combat. They were a choice.

That game sold very badly and was panned by many it would be surprising to see a sequel for a game that does not need it.

Scorpio has another architecture, it's a Ryzen GPGPU, has 50% more memory, do not work with DRam.. it's another console, they will force to have compatibility with Xbox one. PS4 PRO is only a PS4 with 2x GPU and a CPU with a tiny overclock.

Ryse had a lot of potential, but I felt like it was rushed, in order to compete with sony's launch line up. The story would probably have more room to work if it were set at an earlier time in the Roman Empire, or explored a wider variety of locations.

Did anyone READ the article. He's basing this on the fact Ryse is on Games with Gold. There is nothing to back up that there is a sequel coming.

And it would be a dumb move by Crytek to go Xbox only. Arent they nearly bankrupt? They should put it on a console that might support a game like this as well as going multiplat would be 3 times the audience. Always a chance if they fix the mistakes it could be a big hit and if youre putting out a good game you want PS4 players buying it.

Ryse: Son of Rome is honestly one of my favorite games I've owned sense the launch of the Xbox one. It would be awesome if they really did decide to make another Ryse exclusive sequel.

I didn't finish the game, but was recently thinking of renting it and finishing it out. I thought the game was good and tough at some points. But it was never boring and I think its a decent game. If they come out with a part two it has a solid foundation to build on.

I have an Xbox one and it may need to just die.. No exclusives anymore and it's so underpowered I get all third party for ps4. They really need to push Scorpio as next next gen and start an epic comeback

Idunno how the Crytek could handle that unless Microsoft completely paid for all expenses, Crytek was having a lot of financial troubles, if I remember correctly....

I'd not want it so Microsoft trying to get a deal going on for an exclusive game that doesn't sell well is what fucks them over some more, Microsoft ain't the best with partnerships as is what happened with Platinum games.

The only way a sequel like this happens is if Microsoft decides to create it themselves as Crytek is no longer in a position to do so. Considering that we still haven't gotten a sequel to Sunset Overdrive yet, I certainly don't have faith in them to create this and it's a shame because the brand needs more AAA exclusive titles.

The story is great! They just need to tweak the combat and add more strategies to the gameplay!! Finished the pc version. Hopefully it'll be a play anywhere title.

Evolve was a great game, Ryse had its chance as a launch title. They had plenty of exposure.

It was a blast to play. The campaign was short for sure, but still entertaining. And the HIGHLY underrated arena mode is simple, but seriously worth playing with a friend. Had a blast customizing my gladiator and going through all the rounds with the moving/changing arena. So much fun.

Ryde on Xbox and The Order on PlayStation are the two games that often come to mind that scream "do a sequel". A few improvements in both areas, ala ACII
(personally preferred Altair but Ezio was cool and the game itself definitely an improvement) would do wonders. The fact a decade later we have Alan Wake 2 tells me never give up hope.

For a launch style game it looked 8ncredible was very lineier so they could turn up visuals it's worth a part 2 or at least a series x upgrade

I enjoyed the game, but I felt it had pacing issues. I think it really would have benefited from maybe a hub area you could just wander around and speak to people. Some RPG elements and upgrades wouldn't be bad, but that is not in line with a realistic Rome.

The game deserves to be enhanced for the X1X, and Series consoles first.

Whats crazy to me that no one seems to mention is how much the gameplay is similar to the new God of War games. I had a friend try out God of War a couple years back that had only had an xbox last gen. They specifically mentioned that GoW was just Ryse with with a Norse spin. So I went and played Ryse afterward and holy crap, it was really eerie how similar the gameplay was.
