i'm pretty confident that ryan reynolds either won't or can't do this movie regardless. especially since i think he wants to distance himself from the last movie as best as he can. same goes for bradley cooper - i doubt he actually CAN. i can sorta see gyllenhal but not sure he'd be my first choice despite the fact that i've loved him in just about everything i've seen him in.

tom cruise.. no.. just.. no. for a few reasons for me.
1) too small in stature and physical appearance
2) too old. i think it should be somone in their early-mid 30s in that role
3)for me he just... i dunno.. feels wrong all around.

This list seeme like bull to be completely honest lol.

It would be pretty awesome if Ryan Reynolds took on the role again and it turned out to be a success! Would be the second time he'd redeemed a superhero he once played in a movie that ultimately bombed lol. Wether he can't is really up in the air. WB did sign him up for sequels so they could have him under contract anyways. Probably not, but there's that possibility. I have a hard time believing there's something in their Marvel contract preventing them for taking work for anything DC. Jamie Alexander auditioned for Wonder Woman while Sterling K. Brown just expressed interest in Green Lantern. I doubt they would do either of those things if their contract would forbid them to! Bradley Cooper did originally lose out on the Green Lantern role to Ryan Reynolds so there is a chance! Jake Gyllenhaal is a phenomenal choice but he said he's distancing himself from blockbusters for the time being so that could be a problem unless they really "WOW" him. As for Tom, although he may share SOME of Hal's personality.... No. Just no. Joel McHale is just a weird choice. Wtf!?!?

So Ryan Renalds would be Deadpool and the Green Lantern? I don't think that would happen.

BenqMagician2651d ago

Has that ever happened someone actually both marvel/DC superhero?

Uhh Reynolds has... Deadpool and Green Lantern.

SarcasticDuck2650d ago

Reynolds... and Ben Affleck

I wouldn't mind Reynolds coming back with a soft reboot like the Ghost Rider and Hulk movies. He has the charisma and looks to be a great Hal Jordan, just make like Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance and tell us what happened before on his solo movie (got a ring from Abin Sur and Sinestro became yellow lantern) in comic art style

Nathan fillion is a better choice than Tom Cruise if he gets in shape.

Ryan Reynolds actually was a pretty good Hal Jordan so let's give him a chance to redeem himself. And bring back Mark Strong as Sinestro too
