March Contest Details

Syko|4430d ago |Blog Post|9|

Month after month it is a struggle to try and freshen up these monthly contests. I feel Tech is almost one of those things where you know what you need to get your rig up to date or have a specific need for one of your many gadgets...but this month for a few of the contests we are going to supply prizes instead of our usual Amazon Gift Card buy what you need mentality. On the other hand if you don't need either of the prizes, well then...Aren't you a lucky little TechSpy user and you can always submit stories for some "Straight Cash Homie'" (Apologies to non-US user's for the Randy Moss NFL Player reference, You Tube it.)

As for the prizes this month in the TechSpy MVP and Comment Contest, we are giving away your choice of either a Roku LT Streaming Player or a Medialink - Wireless N Router - 802.11n w/ Internal Antenna...So depending on your set-up and needs pick which one helps you get a smoother and more functional set-up in your living room or man cave whatever the case may be.

Prize Details:

--TechSpy MVP Contest--

This contest will have 2 Winners, One winner will be selected by the staff for being what we feel is the most helpful, active and overall best member in the month of March. The other winner will be determined by the user with the highest Overall score minus any News score.

--Comment Contest--

AS well this month's comment contest will have 2 winners. One winner will be selected by the staff on the basis of Content, Quality and Score and any other criteria we deem relevant to the contest. The other winner will win based purely on score, with the normal no Spamming or one word comments stipulations applying.

Submit news and get a top 3 News ranking in March and you can win $50.
The prizes are spread equally this month so submit away:

1. $50
2. $50
3. $50

3. In the event of unforeseen circumstances N4G/HAVAmedia reserves the right to substitute the prizes for alternatives of equal or greater value.

5. The winners of the competition will be notified by N4G ticket on or before April 7, 2012.

Good idea for the next contest prize. A Raspberry Pi. gladiator matches would take place for one of those.

It's back ordered though, I heard most people's orders are going to be ready by mid-April, so may be later if you order now.

Thinking for next month we do a reverse contest where you guys send Me, Racer and Snoop-Dizzle prizes for going on vacation. Let me know what you think. I'll call it the Inmates Running the Asylum month.

Im glad that the contests have been less about score this month, and last month(even though I tend to have high scores :P). Makes it a bit more fair.

For example at least for approving stories, I don't approve everything that is submitted. I only approve stuff that is interesting and I would read. Would rather not have a ton of "filler" stories to search through.

I guess someone who wants it purely based on score didn't like this comment!
