I love that people think I don't know what a PC is, and that I don't own these games there. However, there are friends I play co op with, especially RSV2, who only play split screen in the same room as me. A high end gaming PC could descend on them from the sky with every game in existence already installed and a free lightning fast connection, and they wouldn't play PC.

I have a laptop from 2017 with a decent processor but integrated graphics that runs both of these games (and really anything from that era) at a great framerate. I think you'll find that any game locked to a framerate isn't so perfectly balanced graphically to performance that it can't exceed the framerate. When a game is locked at 30fps, it more often than not could hit 40fps and higher depending on the scene. But, since it dips down to 30 frequently they prefer to lock it to maintain consistency.

"only running at.. ". Starting with "only" has a negative connotation that it's not enough.. The Ubisoft demo also ran at *only* 30fps. It's a locked framerate. That's just how it works. The game is able to run at higher than 30, just like every locked 30fps game out there. There's framerates between 30 and 60. Saying "at least 30" doesn't mean it would just jump straight to 60. So, not sure what the purpose of pointing out "at least 30" is.

I see referencing so much claim to power but showing 30fps footage of a current gen game. Which was a bad way to debut gameplay footage. I don't find the game to look particularly top notch, but it does look great. I think the majority already are tired of "the beast" and "most powerful" from the current gen where it did very little difference, and now to see more focus and headlines about "most powerful" with a smaller power difference than before, while they fumbled the "gameplay" reveal and the footage we saw wasn't truly next-gen appeal while it was 30fps.

When they say "at least", I do hope an unlocked framerate. GoW on PS4 Pro wasn't a smooth performer when unlocked, but just having higher than 30 the majority of the time was soo much better and visually smooth than 30fps locked.

Closest you'll probably get with current GPUs available like for like:
RTX2080 (10tf) vs a RTX2080 Super (11tf - quite under XBX) - you'll see a difference in benchmarks.

It still relies on the GPU to simulate path traced audio. Your links did not prove your claim that XSX does the same thing as PS5 or even that it offloads processing from the CPU. Be careful when reading marketing speak. Sony likely has the advantage.

This is a big fail in proving your claim of 44% more ray tracing. You literally ignored clock speed and again your link does not even claim a 44% advantage in ray tracing. We don't know if MS has a better ray tracing system.

What is your point here? Sony has about a 3x advantage in streaming performance. Market speak about Microsofts API does not make it better than Sonys. Sony put far more emphasis on storage and asset management and is known to make better API's. Are you claiming MS APIs are better? How so? Tim Sweeney said PS5 storage architecture is better.

Aside PS4, All the past Sony consoles had some sort of BC, Xbox 360 had also Backward compatibility, Wiiu, Wii, All handheld platform, and PC became backward compatible the moment digital distribution became the thing (See Steam). Backward compatibility with digital distribution isn't a feature it's basically now a must that should have already been mandatory the last generation.

I never said promoting Backward compatibility or having your games improved is a bad thing I just said That MS should find a better PR line instead of saying play thousand of games on your Serie X like it's a new thing when clearly it's not. (Between 2000 and 2014 BC was present in the majority of home and handheld consoles)
