"Something is happening lately that has never happened before.
The jailbreaks of the different versions of iOS 5 are now taking months, not days, to go public.
If you have an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2 and want to upgrade to the latest version, you're out of luck: the A5 chip made things really difficult and now an elite group of hackers need thousands of hours of brain power and effort to actually do it.
The question is: is it still viable?"
yea ever since the 4s less and less people have been jail breaking. I see why its unstable when some idiots do it wrong. 2 people have come to me with failed attempts to jailbreak and I just go I dont work with apple products. + I guess apple gives you pretty much everything out of the box.
