Techcrunch: MegaUpload Is now launching a music service called MegaBox... Sorry make that "was". Information has arose regarding the possible real motivation behind the block and shut down of MegaUpload, Megabox had the potential to make record label company's obsolete. "UMG knows that we are going to compete with them via our own music venture called Megabox.com, a site that will soon allow artists to sell their creations directly to consumers while allowing artists to keep 90 percent of earnings," MegaUpload founder Kim 'Dotcom'.
Ira Rothken has kept Megaupload founder free for years. Can he do it again?
Following the news earlier this week that Kim Dotcom intends to relaunch Megaupload, the entrepreneur has just delivered a new surprise. Rather than a cold start, Megaupload 2.0 will hit the ground running by deploying the original Megaupload user database.
Planning on making the trip to the Big Apple for Disrupt NY? You might as well save $1,000 in the process, but to do that you're going to need to act quickly.
Hmmm...Bring back Mega Upload!!!
This entire MegaUpload fiasco was dealt with very poorly IMO, regardless of the 2 year investigation into MU supposed criminal activity, I cant help but think it's strangely coincidental the site going down shortly after the Megabox announcement/Beta launch.
Anyway agreed, bring it back!
WOAHHHHHHH why wasnt this front page news. basically this would have changed the game for everything.... fbi always trying to keep a good thing down. they could care less about piracy once you mess with apples money its a problem...
