Apple Pushing Out New Low Power Bluetooth 4.0

DeviceMAG - Apple is bringing aboard the new Bluetooth 4.0 standard. This is intended for the iPhone, iPad and iPod accessory developers using which they will be able to transmit data between Apple’s mobile devices.

Bluetooth 4.0 needs only low-power and its low-latency capabilities might help developers to stream audio to mobile speakers through AirPlay without the support of a WiFi in the vicinity. This is much-needed software, because even though there are a number of iOS devices in the market, very few of them support AirPlay.
