You could just explain to the kid that it was sex and nothing else. If you don't make a big deal out of it, the kid will be fine. Make a big deal out of it and the kid will feel ashamed and a bunch of emotional issues will result.

I have a kid, and guess what, i think if they saw this for one minute, i don't think it would be too detrimental to a child. #1 i would explain to them what was going on, and put it in to context. I think you are taking it to far. He was just making a joke. Do i think that its okay to do this. Not at all. Do i think a kid will even know what they saw, and have any idea what was going on? No not at all. #2 Sex is a normal thing. And you're kid is going to know about it anyway.(I think showing violence would have been way worse. Sex is normal life) I think them seeing something like this, they would have no clue what they were looking at, and if they were a normal healthy well raised child, it will not effect them at all.
