Wirless Goodness - Yesterday, we learned that the HTC EVO 3D will be released by Sprint on June 24th, and today the device made its first appearance on the FCC. FCC filings confirm support for CDMA/EvDO 850 and 1900 bands, as well as WiMAX, Bluetooth and WiFi. The EVO 3D is known as the PG86100 in FCC filings, as you can see from the device’s label picture, above.
Techradar: The HTC Evo 3D release date might have been ages ago, but it has suddenly become attractive again thanks to a mighty price drop.
The phone, which once retailed for over £500, is now a snip at £207 from everybody's favourite bum-spanking retailer, Asda.
Android Police: "I am quite speechless right now. Justin Case and I have spent all day together with Trevor Eckhart (you may remember him as TrevE of DamageControl and Virus ROMs) looking into Trev's findings deep inside HTC's latest software installed on such phones as EVO 3D, EVO 4G, Thunderbolt, and others.
These results are not pretty. In fact, they expose such ridiculously frivolous doings, which HTC has no one else to blame but itself, that the data-leaking Skype vulnerability Justin found earlier this year pales in comparison. Without further ado, let me break things down."
Bright Hub: You love your gadgets, so when something new comes along in the mobile world of course you are going to get excited. There aren't that many 3D smartphones out yet, but is there a reason for that? Are 3D phones just a gimmick, or the latest must-have feature on a phone?
3D is great for gaming and movies. Now on a smart phone with a small screen whats the point. Its an added expensive for a function that realistically will not be used that much. I underdtamd 3D tablets (even though i do not really understand the point of a tablet) but smart phone no
I'm a huge proponent of 3D media like TV and games but it's useless as a phone. its too small to look at.
