LG’s Danish support site reveals that the LG Optimus 2X will be getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread in June-July 2011. LG has been mum about the update for the device so far.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, older Android devices working on Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread or older will not be able to access Google Apps

Meanwhile Engadget reports that LG has responded to the report and said that the update would be rolling out this summer. Anyway owners of the device can now have a little joy since the company itself has responded, and just wait for the update release.
