LG’s Danish support site reveals that the LG Optimus 2X will be getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread in June-July 2011. LG has been mum about the update for the device so far.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, older Android devices working on Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread or older will not be able to access Google Apps
AH: "LG Optimus 2X is the world’s first dual-core phone. It was the first phone to sport the Tegra 2 chip. However, when it comes to OS updates this phone hasn’t been much lucky. Stuck on the old Gingerbread OS for almost 2-years now. LG stated way back in 2011 that the Optimus 2X will receive ICS update but that never happened."
SammyHub | After Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, it caught many people off guard.
- Dual Core Processor
- 3.8" PLS WVGA Screen
- 5MP Camera (LED flash) and VGA Front Camera
- 1500 mAh
All at an affordable price tag. But the launch OS being Android 2.3 was a downer, with no news of an ICS update to be available.
Well, that has just changed.
