High Performance DDR4 Ram Introduced by Hynix

Pixel Smashers writes "Hynix Semiconductor Inc. has outlined some of their DDR4 specifications and plans for the future. Currently, Hynix has developed a 2GB version using a 30nm manufacturing process that boasts faster speeds and less power consumption."

DDR4 expected to reach 50% of mainstream in 2015- that's about all you need to know.

Not to rain on their parade, but this is really just a natural evolution of tech, not anything really news worthy. The difference is minimal for most consumers, so until it becomes the mainstream solution and prices hit cheap, very few will have any interest in upgrading anytime soon. I guess its nice to see their timeline though.
