Pocket-Lint: HP launched the Pre3 at the beginning of the February. We know we’ve already brought you a first hands-on of it at the time, but now the dust has settled we were able to get a second longer play with the new flagship smartphone from HP at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and wanted to share that with you.
WG - We were kinda looking forward to HP’s latest version of Palm’s flagship Pre smartphone, the Pre 3. Sadly, HP killed the device before it was launched. With the exception of a few units released in Europe, the device never made it to store shelves.
PreCentral - We know that the HP Pre3 is due in the UK by the end of this month. We also know it’s likely not coming to O2 (though it’s possible they’ve changed their mind in the last six months). So then the question we have to ask is this: “What carrier will the Pre3 launch on in the UK?”
Clove - It looks like the processor of the HP Pre 3 may have been quietly upgraded to a dual-core processor. Previous spec stated that it would ship with a CPU 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8655 chipset, but if the official HP product page is anything to go by, it will now ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2GHz/td>.
