Goodbye Cell Towers

BT: "For a few of us out there, we have to deal with the ugly sight of a cellular tower somewhere close to a neighbourhood or in a business area. Some companies have dressed up towers to look like trees or buildings to fit in with the environment, but what if those massive transmitters could be shrunk to the size of something that could be held in your hand?"

Why not :) Replace the Cell Tower with the actual tree :) Anyway I would not place this new small transmitter in my hand... with the power of the radiation (EMR) the cancer would develop instantly... :)

Speed-Racer4814d ago

Well there is no real proof that those transmitters cause cancer. They are 1/50 the power of a household microwave...so I wouldnt worry about that.

michass84814d ago

Well, but still I would not keep it next to me on a daily basis... lol
'These towers emit radio frequencies (RF), a form of electromagnetic radiation (EMR), for a distance of up to 2-1/2
miles.They are essentially the same frequency radiation as microwaves in a microwave oven.
Studies have shown that even at low levels of this (EMR) radiation, there is evidence of damage to cell tissue and DNA, and it has been linked to brain tumors, cancer, suppressed immune function, depression, miscarriage, Alzheimer's disease, and numerous other serious illnesses'.
Microwave and Radio Frequency Radiation Exposure, San Francisco Medicine , Vol. 74, No 3, March 2001

Yet other studies disprove it. Everything in life gives you cancer in my opinion so I dont sweat. Of course I wont be holding a cell tower in my hand though :P

Ever notice that people who have cancer never complain about pain until it's too late. My theroy on cancer is life trying to evole from what we are today. It's just not enough time has gone by for the genetic mutation to be one with our bodies. Just like some people are heavier then others, because are bodies adpated differnetly. Just my opioin on the matter.

@godshand

Lol interesting theory.

Speed-Racer4814d ago

@Godshand - In these times, you should always go for cancer screening every year to tell if anything is developing, because as you say... it doesnt shot up till its too late.
