As the article says, it will come down to pricing. On paper the 600D looks better than Nikon's D3100, but if it costs $400 more, it's not really in the same space.

I would definitely go for Canon camera, but the price of Canon is much higher, so I would not expect the same specs from Nikon. Both are great Cameras but the top one, in this comparison, for me would be the Canon 600D.
