LG and Sony Ericsson, despite being one of the largest manufacturers fell to the expectation in 2010 while others, notably HTC and Samsung, were those who fought the charge to take the lead in the Android market, with the honorable exceptions the Milestone / Droid Motorola and a few others invited to the party. Both manufacturers decided it was better to work on their next generation of Android devices to try to give the bell as trying to compete in a market that eluded them was a futile effort.
Sony's preorder routine is slightly different this time around.
