Microsoft's first Windows Phone 7 update coming this month?

Engadget: It's no secret that Microsoft is anxious to get copy / paste functionality rolled out to Windows Phone 7 users on the double. In his CES keynote last night, Steve Ballmer himself said that it'd be coming soon -- but a little hint on Microsoft's site indicates that it might be coming as soon as this month: the URL Microsoft is using for the update's details page includes "january-update.aspx" ; in it, which we'd say is pretty telling. Who cares? Lol. Just something to entice people to move to windows 8. There is plenty of better alternatives out there.

If they give you all the features of the new software, in the old software, then no ones is going to upgrade.... Microsoft is a business, and just with any business, its exists for no other reason than to make money.

BUTTTTTT, no xbox music on windows phone 7!! they are still selling that on low end phones. Is the integrated zune store just going to die? be a worthless icon...

Lol, just wait until they finish DirectX 12 - Windows 8 (or 9) only!
