Thanks to modern mechanical prosthetics, complete with hydraulics and microprocessors, missing a limb needn’t mean missing much. Except when it comes to swimming. Artificial appendages for the water are still rudimentary: Most resemble clip-on canoe paddles for hands or kiddie flippers for feet—clunky versions of their nimble landlubbing brethren.

Mystery object in weird orbit beyond Neptune cannot be explained

New Scientist - “I hope everyone has buckled their seatbelts because the outer solar system just got a lot weirder.” That’s what Michele Bannister, an astronomer at Queens University, Belfast tweeted on Monday.

She was referring to the discovery of a TNO or trans-Neptunian object, something which sits beyond Neptune in the outer solar system. This one is 160,000 times fainter than Neptune, which means the icy world could be less than 200 kilometres in diameter. It’s currently above the plane of the solar system and with every passing day, it’s moving upwards – a fact that makes it an oddity.

The Neptune Hub is a Android 5 smartphone, inside a wearable wristband, which works as a fully functional phone running all Android apps on a 2.4inch display. Inside the Hub has a powerful quad-core processor, as well as support for 3G/LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. If you want to use something bigger, the Suite comes bundled with what are effectively external displays - the Pocket in 5inch 'phone' size and the Tab in 10inch tablet size.

Neptune Pine Receives FCC Certification – Shipping Now

Neptune Pine, the smartwatch that’s a fully functional phone, has had a long drawn out saga going through FCC testing to receive certification, with repeated deadlines slipping as they awaited confirmation of approval.

Friday however, they were able to announce they had finally received FCC certification and that they would begin shipping the Pine’s early July.
