Pocket-Lint: The BlackBerry Bold 9700 was short-listed for the Pocket-lint Gadget Awards 2009 Best Mobile phone. It didn’t win, but nonetheless it was, and still is, a mighty fine handset heralded by many a RIMer as the truest most premium BlackBerry experience that money can buy. However, the plot has thickened like stew after cornflour with the arrival of the next gen version from the Canadian mobile company, designed to knock the 9700 off its perch.
Blackberryrocks: It’s been quite some time since the Blackberry Bold 9700 was released. It is even fancier than its predecessor, the Blackberry Bold 9000. With a few changes to suit the times better, the Bold 9700 certainly has better features.
Many companies have officially launched OS 6.0 for most of the latest devices to officially bless the 9700 with OS 6.0 is T-Mobile USA. Earlier versions of the BlackBerry platform OS may seem quite dated compared to, for example, Android 2.3, but RIM is trying to change all that with frequent updates. Most of these updates was the recently released BlackBerry OS 6 upgrade that adds things like a browser based on WebKit and set more streamlined registration process.
Pocket-Lint: Amosu Couture, an expert at covering a wide variety of electronic gadgetry with precious substances, has just announced that it has slapped a gold coating on the BlackBerry Bold 9780.
