TechDigest: 3 Mobile announced today that they will be carrying The LG Optimus One.
The Optimus, android smartphone runs off Google's mobile operating system Froyo (2.2) and has two internal antenna's which you apparently need to make the most of Three's 3G network. Also until the end of the year they are giving away a free car mount and car charge.
LG Optimus One is reportedly confirmed to get Android 2.3 Gingerbread, The device is one of the first smartphones to offer Android 2.2 Froyo and finally getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread. LG was even more confident at the end of 2010 about the device since they mentioned that it would be upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread some time down the road.
Do anyone think that Android 2.3 Gingerbread update could save LG Optimus One? LG phones sucks as always.
This phone has very poor marketing in Europe... there will be no success for this device here...
We have heard that LG sold 1 million of Optimus One smartphones in 40 days after the launch and this LG model become the most successful LG cellphone ever. After 25 days more the number reached 2 million units.
I never really took LG serious, I need to see more of these and maybe it will change my views, I think lg phone I think cheap boxy phone or bad touchscreen and some form of a long term contract.
Pocket-Lint: First it was the white HTC Desire, then the white Samsung Galaxy S, and now the white LG Optimus One has landed too, putting the boot in to Apple who is now almost 4 months late with the white iPhone 4, with a further long delay expected.
