Pocket-Lint: With over 200 channels, you would think that there is already enough to watch on Sky, but if that's the case why are you always saying there's nothing on? Don't worry you aren't alone, and perhaps hearing the cries that people just want to watch what they want to watch, when they want to watch it (what?), Sky launched its Anytime service a couple of years ago.

Sky Launches #WatchOnSky Interactive Twitter Hashtag

Sky has launched a new interactive hashtag on Twitter. The new tool will be used by Sky to group tweets on upcoming sporting events and movies using the hashtag #WatchOnSky letting you see a stream of shows you might be interested in watching or recording on your Sky+ box for later viewing.

If you see a show you like, you can expand the tweet to reveal options to Watch now via Sky Go, or Record sending a command to your Sky+ box to record the show – assuming you have these services configured in advance.

I thought it would be like the programs I see at some bars/and clubs that display live tweets/instagrams on screens and stuff.

No I think that will still work for program specific hashtags e.g. #gameofthrones etc. but this is for a stream of shows you can find and watch/record.

Sky Store Adds Ability To Buy Movies To Own

Sky television have updated their Sky Store app to add the ability to buy movies to own, rather than just rent them.

The new feature will let customers buy, watch and keep many of the latest and best movies as soon as they’re released as well as some of Hollywood’s best loved classics, all at the touch of a button on their Sky remote. movies will be available at the same time as they are released to DVD.

Depending on the price obviously, I don't think its a bad deal. Compare to iTunes/Google Play where you can buy the movie, but don't get a physical copy as well?
