A few days ago Xmarks announced that the popular synchronization service will be shut down in January 2011.
Xmarks has now announced on their blog that they are hoping that the service can be kept alive anyway. They are considering a subscription-based service, meaning that the service will no longer bee free. They have received a lot of responses from current users of Xmarks that are more than willing to pay for this service.
There a joke charging after all this time.. Using there free service to lure people in then saying Oh now you need to pay to keep all those passwords you stored with us or start all over again if you get a new PC.
