While newer Nokia handsets take all the attention, a more experienced favourite – the Nokia N900 – has been taking on all-comers in one mobile phone website’s mock up smartphone championship, beating the likes of the HTC HD2 and the BlackBerry Storm 2. Now it’s up against the Palm Pre. And it may just win.
Engadget - Nokia's buried-but-beloved N900 smartphone has performed many parlor tricks in the past, but its latest role as a carbon-fiber swaddled cyborg cranium just might take the cake. Using the equally forsaken MeeGo Maemo OS, a roboticist by the name of Sascha hacked his way into the phone's three-axis controller and other components in order to bring his Bioloid creation to life.

Pokect Now: The Nokia N9 MeeGo-powered handset, once thought dead, has just gotten FCC approval. Although the FCC device only goes by model number RM-680, it has been well established that they are one and the same; plus, a side-by-side comparison of the FCC label schematic and a leaked N9 component show nearly identical markings. Among its penta-band WCDMA support is compatibility with all AT&T and T-Mobile 3G frequencies.
I would prefer N900. It's fantastic device.
